About me

🎨 Hi, my name is Flor. I'm an illustrator and visual artist. My work is inspired by nature, magic, and curiosity. I love creating endearing characters and exploring their fantasy worlds. I work with Procreate, analog techniques like drawing, collage, and watercolor, and digital tools such as Figma, Aseprite and Inkscape. I also work as a pottery and tattoo artist. I enjoy learning a bit of everything and nurturing my work with what I have learned.

I'm open to collaborations with publishing projects, brands, entrepreneurs, and other curious creatives.

✨ Creative process

✏ I like to keep a notebook on hand and draw what I see, what I feel, and what inspires me. Often, these daily observations end up sparking a new idea.

📖🔍 I usually look through my notebooks when I can't think of where to begin.

💡 Sometimes trial and error can be a source of inspiration. For example, this ceramic piece, which started as a doodle in a notebook, lost an arm in the first firing. I decided to continue it and sew clothing adapted to that missing arm. It's one of my favorite pieces, and that flaw is what gives it its unique personality.

✍ I also often develop the same idea using different materials. I like to see how that initial idea transforms with repetition and the variations that each material offers.

🤝 When I work with another artist or on a custom commission, I usually start with a previous chat to establish the basic idea. If it's complex, I also like to create a mood board. Then I deliver sketches or photos of the process, and if the client is satisfied, I move on to the final project. I like having this back-and-forth when working with others so that the result reflects the intended vision as accurately as possible.
